Un año más cerramos nuestros cursos de Idiomas, con la confianza que todos nuestros estudiantes hayan alcanzado los objectivos que nos habíamos marcado. Quiero pues, agradecer desde aquí, en primer lugar, todo el trabajo llevado a cabo por los directores de grupo y los monitores responsables de cada uno de ellos.

Our English Course comes to an end, what a pity !!

Hoy viernes 24 es nuestro ultimo dia de clase en el Colegio, las profesoras han organizado un "Quiz" entre los tres grupos, lo vamos a hacer en la cafeteria, al acabar las clases y de paso aprovecharemos para comer algo tipico que han preparado ellas y tambien los cocineros del Colegio, despues tendremos nuestra ultima reunion con los responsables del Grupo y por la tarde tenemos que dejar todo preparado para la vuelta (porque tantos regalos pueden suponer un problema en la maleta). Manana sabado viajaremos a Londres en autocar, para tomar los respectivos vuelos de vuelta a casa.

 

Los responsables del Grupo de Solihull nos despedimos deseando a todos un Feliz Verano y un merecido descanso y agradeciendo la confianza puesta tanto en nosotros como en la Organizacion.

Trip to Warwick, what a nice town and a big castle !!

My weekend

On Saturday, we went to Alton Towers. We met at 8 o'clock in the morning at Solihull station. We arrived at Alton Towers at 10 o'clock. It was cloudy so we thought that it would rain but finally it didn't rain. We entered into Alton Towers and we took some photos and then we went to rides.
 
My friends and I went to Oblivion. It is a very good ride. After it, we went to Rita, it's a ride which is very fast. After that we went to Nemesis and then we went to Air. For me, Air is the best ride. Later we had lunch, I ate two sandwiches and one hamburger.
 
Then we went to a fear ride where you have to kill people or spiders with a laser gun. Later we went to water riders but I didn't ride because I didn't want to get wet. After that we caught the bus to go home. Saturday was a very good day.

Trip to Alton Towers (diary)

Last Saturday we went to an owesome theme park near the town Alton. This park was Alton Towers. First, we caught the bus and during two ours more or less, we talked about which rides we wanted to go on. This was my first time in this park , so I was very excited and nervous. When we arrived at the park we ran to go on the rider without queue, but that's impossible in a theme park. The first ride I rode was Oblivion, an exiting and frightening ride. Then, we went to Nemesis, which is like a roller coaster, but it goes faster than normal rollercoasters. After lunch, we waited one hour to ride on the ride called Air because that was broken but we were there waiting to ride. Finally, we could ride on Air without on queue. That was an incredible experience, very exciting! I would like to go again!!

Alton Towers

On Saturday, we went to Alton Towers. It is a huge theme park build around an old castle which gives it it's name, Alton Towers.
 
We set off early to avoid the traffic and to arrive when the park was being opened, so we could spend a lot of time there.
 
We rode in many rides such as Oviblion and Rita but the one I liked the most was a ride called Air because it makes you feel that you are flying.
 
We also went to the lake at Alton Towers and we had our lunch there. I've had lots of fun there and I would like to go again.

Stradford

Today was the second time that I went to Stradford-upon-Avon because last year I stayed in Solihull. Last year my friends and I decided to visit William Shakespeare's House but I think that it's too expensive.
 
Stradford is a typical medieval English town; I believe that the architecture is original from medieval period( small and beautiful houses and these tiny streets with very typical shops). The streets themselves hold a lot of delights and you can live the experience of Old England. It's beautiful but may be a little bit boring.
 
William Shakespeare is very significant in the town, you can found his families houses in different streets of the town. William Shakespeare was born in the middle of the 16th century in Henley street. Stradford ( his house is kept in its original form and it's in good condition to visit). He wanted to be an actor and he and his wife convinced to go to London. Then, he became an actor-manager and part-owner of the Blackfriars Theatre and after this the Globe Theatre. He was the first-role actor but it is as a writer of plays that he achieved lasting world-wide fame. His plays are thought to be the finest ever written in any language.

Alton Towers on Saturday, rides, more rides and much fun !!

My excursion to Stratford Upon-Avon

Yesterday we went to Stratford by train, we saw Shakespeare's birthplace, then we walked in the streets to see the town, it is really nice. I bought some souvenirs for my family and friends and some for me. We kept on walking and finally we went to Starbucks to rest.

When we left Starbucks we walked i the streets again and we took some photos there and some next to Shakespeare's birthplace. Finally, we went to tha railway station to catch the train and we went home.

Stratford

This afternoon, I went to Stratford. I went by train. It took us fourty-five minutes. Next, I went to see Shakespeare's house but I didn't go inside because it's very expensive. Afterwards, I went shopping but I didn't buy anything. This town is not big but is important because a famous writer named William Shapespeare was born here. Stratford is a very beatiful riverside town in Warwicks. It is a typical English town. There are lots of old beautiful houses, many of the Tudor time. At five-thirty I caught the the train back to my house in Wythall.

Diary: London

In Saturday we went to London and we saw a lot of important places, for example the Tower of London or Big Ben. After that, we had free time and we went for walk and we visited some streets; important streets. That day was fantastic, with a lot of adventures and stories to explain. I love London!
 
Today, I got up at 10 o'clock and I went to have a shower after that I ate an English breakfast really good with eggs, bacon, sausages, toast... and more things. When I finished I went to watch the TV with Pam. At 12 o'clock I went to take the bus to Solihull centyer where I met Mireia, Borja, Claudia and Albert. W e went to see some shops and when we finished we went to take another bus to a very nice park were we went to take photos. There were really nice photos and at 5 o'clock we took the bus to go home. When I arrived, I went to do my summer homewoek from the school and when I finished I had dinner and I ate lasagna, that's fantastic. Now I'm going to watch a film on TV.

Trip to London

Last Saturday I went to London. First, we visited Buckingham Palace but we didn't stay there for a long time. Later we went to the Houses of Parlament and we saw Big Ben. After that, we stopped at London Bridge but it started raining and we had to return to the coach. Finally, we arrived at Picadilly Circus and we had free time. First of all, I had lunch, later I went through Regent street and I went into a lot of shops, also in Oxford street. Once arrived at Hyde Park, in the part of Speaker's Corner, I met some friends who played football. We stayed there for a long time, waiting for the leaders and the coach but I had a good time. I've been to London before so I think that I didn't waste my time going shopping. I've seen almost every thing of the city.

Trip to London

We went to London three days ago. There, we saw some of the most important monuments in that beautiful city, like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, etc. They were beautiful.
 
After that we had free time, some people went to the British Museum and some people went shopping in Oxfrod street and I visited some important shops like Topshop, Armani I Exchange, Banana Republic, etc.
 
I bought two beautiful T-shirts and a bag for my sister. I t was a very good day, but at the end of it I was very tired!

Nuevo Windows Live, un mundo lleno de posibilidades Descúbrelo.

Trip to London

Last Saturday, we went to London, one of the most important cities in the world. I met the other students and the Spanish teachers at 8am in Solihull station and we went by bus to London. When we ere there we saw some of the most important monuments of London and we took some photographs. We visited Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Picadilly Circus. After that, we went to have lunch in McDonald's and then we went for a walk in Oxford street, a very good place to shop. We met at 5pm at Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park but my friends and I arrived earlier and we stayed for two hours stayed on the grass of the park. After that, we came back to Solihull and we had dinner in our homes. Finally, I went o bed early because I was very tired. I think London is a very stressful and noisy city but monuments are very beautiful and is very nice to visit them. The people of London are very different and you can find people from all over the world; Chinese, black people, Spanish, English...

Trip to London

This has been a very short weekend. On Saturday, we went to London. I had to wake up very early. When we were in London, tehre were a lot of people. We walked for a long time around the street to see some things like the London Eye, Big Ben, the Tower of London, London Bridge... Then my friends and I decided to go to the London Eye. We spent one hour in the waiting line to buy tickets and when it was our turn the man said that we could not buy tickets because there wasn't an adult with us... Then went to Harrods, I bought a lot of lovely things like a bag with a dog on it. It was a fantastic day but it was raining for the whole day.
 
On Sunday, I got up later and in the afternoon I went to see a football match then I talked with the family. Today has had some boring moments but it hasn't been too bad. I will go to bed now and I will get up early... AGAIN!
