Diary with silent letters

Last weekend was good. We went to Alton Towers. First, we went to a frightening castle but it wasn't a very good attraction. Then, we were in a queue for a roller coaster when it started raining. While we were waiting, a friend hurt her knee. To be honest, the first hour wasn't really good, but then we went to a very exciting attraction, which was risky. I was having such a funny day that I didn't have time to eat a biscuit.

On Sunday, I went to the house of my parents' friends. I felt a bit embarrased. I hate being a guest in new houses, but the man of the family was very handsome. In the evening, I came back home and I watched te TV with Jamie, who is 4 years old and he's the son of my host family.

Diaries with silent letters

I enjoyed very much my weekend.

On Saturday I woke up early to go to Alton Towers and it was great. I only could go on the roller coaster twice but I liked it very much. When I arrived home, we watched a film and then I went to bed very late.

On Sunday, my host family and I woke up at ten o'clock, and the breakfast was great. I ate eggs with toast and bacon with mushrooms. It was very good! Then we went ot visit the grandparents.  In the afternoon we went to Blenheim Palace and I enjoyed it very much. It was very big and we rode on a little train.

It was great. I want to stay in England forever.

Sunday with the family

I think all of my classmates are going to write about Saturday so, with the intention of not making the correction boring, I will not write about roller coasters and theme parks. Anyway, I'll tell you how my Sunday was.

As Mrs. Taylor had to work, I spent the day with her son John and his girlfriend Abby. We went to Star City, in the suburbs of Birmingham, where we played minigolf, an eighteen hole competition. Unfortunately for me, I was beaten bt John, but it was my first time; actually, my score was good enough. Later we went bowling and, since I had played before, I was on fire, and the match was more fair than the minigolf one. Nevertheless John is also a good player and beat me.

In the afternoon wasn't as interesting as the morning but it was difficult. It was an almost perfect Sunday with the English family.

last weekend

On Saturday, we went to Alton Towers, a brilliant theme park, where you can have a good time with your friends. We decided to go to the roller coaster, the fastest rides.

Then on Sunday, well, Sunday...I love that day. In the morning I stayed at home with all the family. It was very funny and I learnt a lot because I was speaking with the daughter, who is a very nice person.

Then I met with my friend Sofia to go to the Solihull park, which is very beautiful, and we took a lot of photos. Finally, at 6:30pm I had to return home.

Alton Towers

On Saturday we went to Alton Towers. At 8:00 o'clock, we had to be at Solihull Station, so Judith, a friend of the mother of my host family, took me and another two people from "Padre Manyanet" to the station. There we caught the coach to Alton Towers. When we got there, we met some other students from Lemmington, and all went together to ride on the atractions.

The first atraction we rode was "Thirteen", a new one this year. Later we went to have lunch in a Burger King. Later we went to "Air", to the "Sonic Spin Ball" and another one, but I can't remember the name. After that, we went to the meeting point, we said goodbye to the students of Lemmington, and we went to Solihull Station, where all the families were waiting for us to go to our host house.

The City today, visit and shopping in Birmingham.

LONDON

On Saturday we went to London. We had to meet at Solihull Station at 8 o'clock and a coach drove us to London. We visited some of the most important sites of London like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London, London Bridge, London Eye, and my favourite landmark: Picadilly Cyrcus, where the coach left us so we could have some free time.

Some of us went to Camden town, Harrod's, the British Museum. I went to Abercrombie&Fitch store and I took a photo with a model who worked there. I bought a jumper there. The boutique was very expensive so we couldn't buy as many clothes as we wanted, but  it's a big and nice shop. Then we walked along Regent and Oxford Street. I love these streets because there is a lot of people and they are very busy streets and i like that. I like the shops too, so I think that's why London is my favourite city in the world.

We walked towards Hyde Park, to Speakers' Corner, where we had to meet all the other students. There was parked the coach to return to Solihull. We had a very exciting and wonderful day.

Weekend

The weekend was really exciting, I'm sure that I will remember it. Saturday we went to London by coach, and it was my first time that I was there. After the long trip we arrived to London and visited the most important things like the Buckingham Palace, the  Tower of London, Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament, London Eye...

We saw a lot of interesting things and I took some photos. Later, some of us went to the British Museum and it wasn't too bad, but neither really enthusiastic. When we had lunch we went to buy some clothes and presents to our family and friends. When the day finished I was very tired, so when I came back to my house I went to sleep very quickly. After this long day, I slept very good to begin another unforgottable day.

On Sunday, I went to Stratford horseraces with my family and it was very interesting. We had lunch there in a picnic and later we watched the football match between Spain and Holland, and I saw how Spain became the champion of the worldcup.

Trip to Stratford, Shakespeare's Birthplace

My weekend!

On Saturday I went to London by bus. I stayed in London last year, but I didn't visit the British Museum, and I spent all the day shopping. This year I visited the British Museum. It's very big and has a lot of rooms and things.

On Sunday I spent the morning playing football with my friends. In the afternoon I had a barbecue with my host family and other people that I didn't know, and I watched the match with them: the match was very exciting and when Spain scored I was very happy.

My weekend

On Saturday, we went to London. There, we visited the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palance, Big Ben, Oxford Street and Hyde Park. Then, I went shopping in shops like Abercrombie and Fitch, the coolest shop in the world, and Gap. When I was in the street I met some Spanish friends. I went to have a coffe and finally I went to catch the bus.

On Sunday, I went to Solihull centre with my friends, we ate there and then we went to a pub to watch the match. We were very excited and when Spain scored the goal I was very happy.

London

On my left, I had Buckingham Palace, the guards of the Queen were in front of a big door of the Palace of the Queen, and this last one was in her bedroom...Well, I didn't know where she was, but she wasn't in the terrace as in a lot of films.

Ten minutes later we went to "Abercrombie&Fitch". A lot of people told me that it's the biggest shop in the world. A long queue separated me from the shop, but when I entered...It was so cool! I had never seen a shop like that! It wasn't a normal shop, it was like a disco! But a long queue to pay for my new T-shirt...another time, maybe.

LONDON

On Saturday I went to London. In London I visited a lot of landmarks like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Picadilly Circus, St.Paul's Cathedral, Hyde Parl, etc. But my favourite landmark that I saw yesterday is the Tower of London and London Bridge.

When I had freem time, the first thing I did was to visit Abercrombie&Fitch store, where I bought a pair of T-shirts and i took a photo with a pretty girl who works in there. Then I walked along Regent Street and Oxford Street too. I really liked them because there were a lot of shops.

Finally I arrived at Hyde Park, at Speakers' Corner where I had to meet with the other students and we took the coach to return to Solihull.
I had a beautiful and exciting dady in the capital of England: London.

Diary

On Saturday, I went to London. First, I saw Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the Tower of London and then I went on the underground to Harrods, but I couldn't enter because I wore a school bag and the security guards didn't allow me to enter. So I went to Abercrombie instead but the queue was very large and I didn't have time. Then, I went to Hamleys shop. I liked it very much but it was very expensive and I didn't buy anything.

On Sunday, I woke up later and I went to a festival of cars with my father and his child. In the afternoon, I went with my mother to do the shopping in a supermarket. In the evening I went to a friend's house of my parents and we watched the match, Holland vs. Spain together. Spain won. Very good. I felt very proud.
